PHOTODRAWING
Donalda has continued to experiment with using computer technology along side her traditional drawing techniques. Initially she used the computer to increase the contrast of pictures and then increase their scale by using a projector. She would then use these images as a guide to do her initial sketches which she would then continue to work on until they were complete. It was in this way that Donalda created all the images for her calendar.

In this latest project Donalda has decided to use the computer to create art work that she would not have been able to produce using solely traditional means. Donald choose several photographs that she took and, using a drawing slate attached to the computer, she proceeded to draw and colour onto the surface of the image. This technique created some striking images that were a combination of photographic and sketched artwork.
The final images were entered into the art show at the Carloway cattle show where she won 3rd place.
